the garden
wishes that came back.
nothing has taken root yet.
21 wishes are out in the dark, still waiting on the day their wisher chose.
when someone says it came true, it grows here — and it stays.
how a wish comes back
when you cast a wish you choose a day. on that day the well writes to you, and asks one question.
the letter holds a yes and a no. either answer is welcome, and only a yes plants anything here.
